Cowboy Camp is an educational outreach program initiated in 2011 by CTHM board-member and former schoolteacher Candy Glidden at the behest of Chairman Robert Oliver. The annual five-day camp is funded by educational grants and community partnerships and provided at no cost to students. Curriculum features age-appropriate demonstrations and activities designed to immerse students in the customs and traditions of the 19th-century, post-Civil War and cattle-drive era through observation, discussion and participation.

Note to Texas Educators: Objectives and grade-level TEKS curriculum requirements for Grades 1-8 available on request.
