"Old Hollywood Comes to Texas"
The Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum is rolling out the red carpet and bringing the glamour and excitement of Old Hollywood to Texas for our premier fundraiser,"Taste of the Trail".
This year's event will celebrate Hollywoods's most popular genre, the "Western'. These old Hollywood "Westerns" depicted the bygone era of the late 19th century cowboys complete with gunslingers, heroes, Stetson hats, spurs and chaps. These classic movies stirred our imaginations and brought the cowboy's struggles and triumphs to the big screen.
We invite you to join on on April 14, 2018 at Bellevue Ranch to honor the rich history of the cattle drives and cowboys that made our state great.
Experience the fun, food, dancing and comradery by attending this year's "Taste of the Trail".
Message from the Chairs
The biennial "Taste of the Trail" event is a major source of revenue for the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum. Your generous participation in this year's fundraiser is greatly appreciated for the Museum's continued success. The Museum continues to explore ways to reach out to the community and enhance our patron's museum experience.
The renovation and repurposing of the historic (c. 1880) English-German School, purported to be one of Cuero's first schools, will be a valuable addition to the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum Complex. The schoolhouse will serve Cuero and the surrounding areas with educational, environmental, and historic programming as well as "hands-on" projects for young and old alike. A portion of the proceeds from this year's "Taste of the Trail" will be applied toward this worthwhile project.
It is our sincere hope that you will consider being a significants part of the future success of the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum by becoming a Classic Movie Sponsor for the 2018 "Taste of the Trail" fundraiser. We look forward to rolling out the red carpet for you!
